# BASTA-Web: A web interface for the BAyesian STellar Algorithm _Welcome to the BASTA-Web documentation!_ BASTA (Bayesian STellar Algorithm) is a Python tool that infers stellar parameters using Bayesian modeling. By fitting any combination of photometric, spectroscopic, and asteroseismic data to large grids of stellar models, it estimates stellar properties such as mass, radius, and age. BASTA-Web lets you run BASTA in your browser -- there is no install or command line. Upload your data, choose run controls, submit, and your results will be emailed to you. This guide covers the web workflow and how to read its outputs. For the Python API and developer docs, see the [BASTA documentation](https://basta.readthedocs.io/en/latest/) and the [GitHub repository](https://github.com/BASTAcode/BASTA). ```{toctree} :caption: Contents :maxdepth: 2 :titlesonly: Home getting-started uploading-stellar-data choosing-basta-run-controls ``` ## References and support If use of BASTA-Web helped facilitate a publication, please cite the two original papers describing the BASTA code, and those that describe the model grid you used, with the addition "We used the web version of BASTA ....
